Artist Profile:

MJ Knight has called himself a “photographer” since he was 15 years old. After many years as a keen amateur photographer, he decided to start a small photography business call MJ Knight Photography back in 2010; where he focused on doing portraits and wedding photography. As his business increased, he found himself working long, but rewarding, hours just to keep up with the demand. It quickly became apparent that he was neglecting the artistic side that he grew in love with. So he decided that it was time to begin to focus on the artistic side of photography and digital art and so Art of Knight was created.

Artist Statement:

I’ve been interested in art & artists my entire life. I began taking photographs on my very first Canon AE-1 camera when I was 7 years old. I began doing photography events and portraits since I was 15 years old for my high school newspaper and yearbook. I became fascinated by many different types of subjects. so I finally moved into digital art and used different software to play around with photographs and turn them into something completely different. So after careful planning and positioning, I decide on a composition. How many lines and subjects interrelate on the picture plane is just as essential as the subject I’m depicting. My images are quiet glimpses into a space that shows off the subject, well trying to invite the viewers to look inside and understand a different vision.
